Kicks for Kids Spotlight

How did you get involved in Kicks for Kids?
All of the children (and their families) in our program are battling life-threatening illnesses, mostly cancer. Your program gives these families an opportunity to leave treatment and hospital rooms behind and have fun and good family time for a few hours.
What was your favorite experience at the game?
Our families say that the seats are great and that the kids love the giveaways and food vouchers.

How did you get involved in Kicks for Kids?
I work at the YMCA Youth & Family Services and was able to take some families to a game.
What was your favorite experience at the game?
The kids were happy with the hot dogs and chips, but the most exciting part was when the game started and we saw DC United playing very close to us. Also, the kids were happy screaming and cheering.

How did you get involved in Kicks for Kids?
In our program, there are a number of youth who would not have had an opportunity to attend a DC United game. Once we were aware of the opportunity your organization presented our kids had a great time.

Fan enthusiasm was great.

The games-the art and skills of the players
The fans- the support and songs
The results- the unexpected change of results and game features

When I got to see D.C. United and it started raining, I enjoyed the game. The food was good.

How did you get involved in Kicks for Kids?
My soccer team coach took us to the games.
What was your favorite experience at the game?
When I watch D.C. United verse Atlante play against each other. Something else that I liked was the seats and the meals that we got. The people at the soccer booth were very friendly.

When D.C. United played against a Mexican team in the SuperLeague.

I was the supervisor for the teams and afterschool students who attended the game.
