As a soccer player, Stuart Holden has grown up as a member of the Houston Dynamo. He started just three games during the team's 2006 inaugural season and by this year became the key to the team's plan to replace the since-departed Dwayne De Rosario.
The difference in the first leg nearly came from set pieces, and it seems certain they will play a major role in determining the semifinal series winner as well. Seattle scored seven goals from corner kicks in 2009, while the Dynamo scored just one fewer.
Mayor Bill White today proclaimed that Friday, November 6th, will be recognized as "Dynamo Day" in Houston. In observance of the day, the mayor encourages Houstonians to wear orange, the color of the Dynamo.
