November 12, 2006: MLS Cup Final
HOU 1, NE 1, AET (HOU 4-3 PKs) - Shootout

You know the situation. Dynamo and New England in a shootout for the MLS Cup championship, and veteran goalkeeper Pat Onstad dove to his right to stop Jay Heaps and clinch the league title in front of a Pizza Hut Park crowd that included thousands of Houston fans who made the drive up I-45. One of the most dramatic moments in league history and tops in Dynamo history.

November 12, 2006: MLS Cup Final
HOU 1, NE 1 (HOU 4-3 PKs) - 114th minute
Brian Ching game-tying goal


After battling into the second overtime without a goal at the 2006 MLS Cup final, New England went ahead in the 113th minute on a Taylor Twellman goal. But the Dynamo tied the game within a minute, as Brian Mullan's cross found the head of Brian Ching, who powered it past Matt Reis for the tying goal, a moment that has defined the Dynamo ever since and set the stage for more dramatics.

November 18, 2007: MLS Cup Final
HOU 2, NE 1 - 74th minute
Dwayne De Rosario game-winning goal


Against New England in the final for the second straight year, the Dynamo had already rallied to tie the game in the second half. With 16 minutes remaining, Craig Waibel and Brad Davis exchanged passes on the right, and Davis bent a cross to the top of the box, where Dwayne De Rosario snapped an uncharacteristic header past Matt Reis to lift the Dynamo to another title.

October 29, 2006: Western Conference Semifinal
HOU 2, CHV 0 - 92nd minute
Brian Ching series-winning goal


With the Dynamo's first playoff series tied on away goals and set for overtime, Dwayne De Rosario crossed for Eddie Robinson, whose header bounced high in the six-yard box. Brian Ching reacted first and headed it home in front of the Dynamo supporters, sending the Dynamo to the conference final.

November 2, 2007: Western Conference Semifinal
HOU 4, DAL 1, AET - 100th minute
Brad Davis free kick


With the Dynamo already ahead of bitter rival FC Dallas 3-2 on aggregate in extra time, midfielder Brad Davis sealed the series and thrilled the sellout crowd of more than 30,000 with a bending free kick to the top left corner, clinching a spot in the Western Conference final.

November 18, 2007: MLS Cup Final

Pat Onstad goal-line save


While Dwayne De Rosario scored the go-ahead goal and won MVP honors, Pat Onstad stood out again by making seven saves, none bigger than his reflexive kick save of a point-blank Jeff Larentowicz header in the frantic final five minutes.

November 5, 2006: Western Conference Championship

Brian Mullan clinching goal


Houston led 2-1 after a pair of early strikes from Paul Dalglish, but the Dynamo's trip to the MLS Cup championship was not secured until Brad Davis and Alejandro Moreno combined down the left side, and Moreno crossed for a sliding Mullan to finish at the back post, sending Robertson Stadium into delirium.

November 10, 2007: Western Conference Championship

Dwayne De Rosario clinching goal


With Houston ahead 1-0 on a Nate Jaqua header in the first half, the Dynamo could not put the pesky Wizards away until the final 10 minutes in front of the largest Dynamo crowd in Robertson Stadium history. The killer goal came with nine minutes left after Craig Waibel's through ball found Dwayne De Rosario in the box, and his left-footed shot beat Kevin Hartman.

November 2, 2007: Western Conference Semifinal
HOU 4, DAL 1, AET - 97th minute
Brian Ching go-ahead goal


Although it was not a pretty goal, Brian Ching's second tally of the game seven minutes into overtime, scored after a knock-down in the penalty area, gave Houston a 3-2 aggregate lead over FC Dallas in the second leg of the series before a raucous crowd.

Brad Davis penalty kick


Trailing 2-1 from the first leg, the Dynamo could not break down a stubborn Chivas USA defense in the contentious second leg. Finally, the Dynamo earned a penalty kick when Dwayne De Rosario was taken down in the box. After De Rosario had missed a penalty in the first leg, Brad Davis stepped up and rifled home his shot to tie the series.
