Community Programs
YMCA Youth Soccer Program
A year-long initiative in which Dynamo Charities will deliver uniforms, equipment, training services, clinics, player appearances and Dynamo tickets to help enhance the YMCA's youth soccer program and positively impact approximately 5,000 underprivileged youth. Slated for fall of 2009, Soccer For Success is an after-school program targeting at-risk, Hispanic and African American children in elementary and middle schools. SFS will allow thousands of underserved youth to have the opportunity to experience the values of organized soccer with consistent quality coaching. In addition, SFS will be used as a platform to help children in school, in health and in life. The program offers students the opportunity to take part in an organized after school soccer program at no charge. Benefits include:- Enhancing their motor skills
- Increasing their fitness level
- Enhancing self-confidence
- Development of life skills
- Providing an outlet for constructive use of leisure time between the hours of 3:30 pm and 6:00 pm
Dynamo Academy Youth Development Scholarship Program
The Houston Dynamo Player Development System will become one of the elite youth development programs in all of America. This system will provide area youth soccer players with a platform to develop their skills and a direct path to the professional ranks. Players from the Houston area can now dream of playing professionally for the Dynamo first team, seeking that dream through the Dynamo Player Development System."My experiences in the Academy have taught me to be more self-disciplined, both on and
