Mayén with US U-20 national teamGerson Mayén will tell you that Egypt is the most interesting place he's ever been. The 20-year-old midfielder spent eight days in the African nation (June 22-30) with the U.S. under-20 national team preparing for the 2009 FIFA U-20 World Cup, which will be held in there this coming September and October.
Chivas back-up 'keeper keen to learn At 6-foot-4 and 195 pounds, Lance Parker is an imposing presence in net. This past week, the Oklahoma City native saw his first minutes of the 2009 season in two games for Chivas USA.
Chivas get unlucky against Charleston Chivas USA did everything right. They dominated the time of possession, they controlled the run of play, they got twice as many scoring chances Tuesday night in their third round U.S. Open Cup match against USL First Division side Charleston Battery.
