San Jose Earthquakes Parking Plan

On-campus parking locations:

  • Lot A - Parking Garage located on west side of Buck Shaw Stadium (565 spaces)
  • Lot B - Parking lot north of Palm Drive, off of Sherman Street (180 spaces)
  • Lot C - Loyola lot off Alameda light (180 spaces)
  • VIP - Leavey Center Parking Lot (280 spaces)

Off-Campus paid parking locations:

  • 451, 469, & 481 El Camino Real (725 spaces)
  • 1260 Campbell Avenue (300 spaces)

Off-Campus free parking locations:

  • 1123 Coleman Avenue (500 spaces)
  • 735 Newhall Drive (800 spaces)
  • FMC Property on Coleman Avenue (450 spaces)

Lots A & B:

Lots A and B will be Pre-Paid parking for season ticket holders.

For both Lots A and B, vehicles will turn on to Palm Drive off of El Camino Real.

For Lot A vehicles will turn left off of Palm Drive and enter through the north side of Lot A. All walking traffic exiting Lot A to get to Buck Shaw will be routed by barricades to the cross walk on Palm Drive. We will have one Staff Pro agent directing traffic at this location. The south entrance to Lot A will be blocked off to vehicles with barricades and staffed.

For Lot B vehicle will turn right off of Palm Drive and enter through the south entrance. The north entrance will be blocked by barricades. Appropriate signage will be provided.

When exiting Lot A from the bottom floor (approx. 170 spaces) vehicles will exit to the south side of the garage. Vehicles will be directed towards Sherman Street, past Franklin Street and on to Benton Street. At Benton Street vehicle will be able to turn left or right. There will be a police officer stationed at the intersections of both Sherman Street/Franklin Street and Sherman Street/Benton Street directing traffic.

When exiting Lot A from the top two floors (approx. 400 spaces) vehicles will exit through the north side and on to Palm Drive and out to El Camino Real. They will be forced to turn right on El Camino Real. Pedestrians leaving the stadium will be routed to the cross walk to cross Palm Drive. We will have one Staff Pro agent directing traffic at this location. There will be two police officers at the intersection of Palm Drive and El Camino Real.

When exiting Lot B vehicles will exit through the north side directed right onto Sherman Street, Past Franklin Street to Benton Street. At Benton Street they will then be allowed to turn left or right.

Lot C:

Vehicles will be able to enter and exit Lot C off El Camino Real and The Alameda. They will be able to turn either left or right when exiting.

VIP Parking:

Vehicles will enter and exit from Accolti way. The entrance off of El Camino Real will be closed and locked during game days. When exiting, vehicles will be forced to go right onto El Camino Real from Accolti way. There will be two traffic cops at El Camino Real and Accolti way.

Off-Campus Paid Parking:

All Lots will be entered from El Camino Real (north bound direction). When exiting, they will be forced to exit and turn right onto El Camino Real (north bound). They may then go to De la Cruz Boulevard or continue on El Camino Real.

Off-Campus Free Parking:

The free parking lots on Coleman Ave will be staffed with parking attendants. There will be a shuttle provided to the fans that will take them to the stadium. We will provide 3 shuttles that will go to each lot. The shuttles will go west on Coleman Ave and turn left on De la Cruz Boulevard. Shuttle drop off will be in the Cal-Tran drop off zone. People will exit and walk across El Camino Real on Benton then to the stadium. Proper signage will be provided.

  • Thursday, May 22, 2008 from 5:30pm - 10:30pm
  • Saturday, July 12, 2008 from 10am - 4pm
  • Sunday, July 27, 2008 from 9am - 3pm
  • Sunday, August 3, 2008 from 9am - 3pm
  • Saturday, August 16, 2008 from 4pm - 10pm
  • Saturday, August 30, 2008 from 4pm - 10pm
  • Saturday, September 6, 2008 from 4pm - 10pm
  • Saturday, September 13, 2008 from 10am - 4pm
  • Saturday, September 27, 2008 from 4pm - 10pm
  • Saturday, October 11, 2008 from 4pm - 10pm
  • Saturday, October 25, 2008 from 4pm - 10pm

Traffic Supplies:

Below is a compiled list of items that the Santa Clara Police Department will utilize in order to effectively handle the traffic detail for the Earthquakes soccer matches. These items will be purchased by the Earthquakes:

  • 300 -18" reflective traffic cones
  • 12 -Florescent traffic vests
  • 58 -Metal street signs (see below)
  • 20 -Magnetic temp signs (see below)
  • 18 -A-frame barricades

Signage breakdown:

  • 20 -"no peddling" signs stating our city ordinance
  • 20 -Temporary "no parking" signs (affixed to metal pole signs)
  • 20 "no parking" signs attached to poles
  • 4 -"no left/U-turns" A-frame signs
  • 2 -"no right/U-turns" A frame signs
  • 2 -"shuttle only" A frame signs
  • 6 -"Do not cross" "Please use crosswalks" signs
  • 2 -"Freeways" "To Hwy 101 & Hwy 880 signs
  • 2 - Freeways" "To Hwy 880 & Hwy 280 signs
