FSN WEST and FSN PRIME TICKET

FSN WEST and FSN PRIME TICKET enter their tenth season as telecast home of the 2005 MLS Cup Champion Los Angeles Galaxy. Delivering the most Galaxy games on television, the sister networks provide a total of 18 regular season games in 2008, with all being aired on FSN WEST beginning on April 13 when the Galaxy host Toronto FC. In addition to the 18 regular season contests, two postseason matches are slated to be included on the schedule.

The FSN WEST and FSN PRIME TICKET announcing team of Jim Watson, play-by-play, and Mark Rogondino, analyst, return to the booth for the second consecutive year calling the Galaxy action.

FSN WEST is also home to “Galaxy Live”, a 30-minute show providing unmatched access to the Galaxy. “Galaxy Live” extends the game’s viewing experience by bringing fans closer to the action than ever before and providing Southern California soccer fans with insider access and analysis to the team. Jim Watson -- Play-by-Play

Five-time Emmy Award-winner Jim Watson is a full-time anchor, play-by-play announcer, reporter and host for FSN WEST and FSN PRIME TICKET. During his remarkable career, there is no sport he hasn’t called or covered. In 2008, Watson returns for his second season as the Los Angeles Galaxy play-by-play announcer.

Watson initially started in the fall of 1996 with Fox Sports West and West 2. He was the play-by-play announcer for the “High School Football and Basketball Game of the Week” and worked as a regular announcer on college basketball, baseball and volleyball. Watson was also host of “Cal-Hi Sports”, a weekly magazine show that received five Los Angeles Area Emmy’s for “Best Sports Series”.

After working seven years for Fox Sports West in Los Angeles, Watson was offered a position with Fox Sports Northwest in Seattle. Watson was lead anchor on the networks nightly “Northwest Sports Report”, served as the voice of the University of Washington’s football and basketball telecasts and worked as a reporter on coverage of the Mariners, SuperSonics and Seahawks. Watson also called a variety of other college sports as well as the high school football and basketball State Championships in both Washington and Oregon.

After two years in Seattle, Watson returned to Southern California in the summer of 2005. The versatile Watson has hosted FSN WEST and FSN PRIME TICKET pregame shows; “Galaxy Live,” “Clippers Live,” “Lakers Live,” “Dodgers Live,” “Angels Live,” “Kings Live,” and “Ducks Live” both on-site and in-studio.

Watson has also worked the past two Olympic Games for NBC Sports. In 2000 he was the play-by-play announcer for Beach Volleyball in Sydney, Australia and in 2004 moved to Indoor Volleyball for the Olympic Games in Athens, Greece.

Watson graduated from USC in 1989 with a degree in Sports Information. He lives in Marina del Rey, Calif.

Mark Rogondino -- Color Analyst

Mark Rogondino is in his second season as color analyst for the Los Angeles Galaxy. Rogondino became a member of the Galaxy broadcasting team as a sideline reporter in 2005. He is a regular on Fox Soccer Channel. There, Rogondino has covered the English Premier League, Major League Soccer, International Friendlies, and various South American Club Tournaments. In addition to his work on the soccer field, he has been the announcer for Arena Football League games and course reporter for the Celebrity Golf Tour.

Rogondino has a long history with the sport of soccer. After closely following his hometown Major Indoor Soccer League team throughout the 1980’s, he hit an early career milestone in 2000, when he became the voice of the San Diego Sockers. A native of San Diego, Rogondino was the starting goalkeeper during his senior season at San Diego State University; U.S. Men’s National Team standout Jimmy Conrad was a teammate.

Rogondino continues to play soccer in a men’s league in Orange County, where he lives with his wife Tiffany.
