The Los Angeles Galaxy crowned Amanda Lindholm Miss L.A. Galaxy 2005 on Sunday, Oct. 10, 2004 at the Carson Center. Amanda received a $500 cash prize, a $100 gift certificate to Radio Shack, a $50 gift certificate to Kohl's and additional prizes from Cover Girl.
Personal Achievements:
• Graduated from high school when she was 14 years old as a Valedictorian of her senior class. • Attended the University of Utah on ballet and academic scholarships. • Will graduate in December with a B.A. in History, Anthropology, and Political Science • In January will begin her first year of Graduate school at CSUSB Community Service: • Began a community campaign to promote heart disease awareness among young women. • Works with Inland Pacific Ballet to bring the arts to school children in Southern California. • As a treasurer of her University's Anthropology student club, helps promote cross-cultural diversity. • Involved with Campus Crusade for Christ, helping with worship, outreach and making their group a welcoming place for new students. • Interns as an assimilation aid with local Korean-American children.
