2008 Galaxy Drive Series

The Galaxy Drive Series is a community initiative where the Galaxy team-up with fans to assist non-profit organizations in the Los Angeles area. The Galaxy and Infinity Insurance will host three drives during the 2008 season. Donations will be collected outside of The Home Depot Center. Together we can make a difference in our community.

Saturday, June 7: Food Drive

June is Hunger Awareness Month and the LA Galaxy and Infinity Insurance are asking you to join in the fight against hunger!

Donate five (5) cans or $5 and receive a "Galaxy Drive Series Voucher" valid for $5 off a ticket for select games. Fans who contribute will be entered into a drawing for a adidas soccer ball signed by members of the 2008 Galaxy team.

All donations will benefit the LA Regional Foodbank, whose mission is to mobilize resources to fight hunger in our community. The LA Regional Foodbank is currently in need of non-perishable, high protein items like peanut butter, tuna, canned chicken, spam, canned ravioli, spaghetti & meatballs, etc. For more information on the LA Regional Foodbank, please visit www.lafoodbank.org.

Thursday, August 21: School Supplies Drive

As part of the Galaxy’s commitment to education, the Galaxy and Infinity Insurance is encouraging fans to contribute new school supplies to be donated to a local non-profit organization aiding children in need. Items needed include backpacks, paper (college & wide rule), markers, crayons, pens, pencils, binders, folders, spiral notebooks, etc.

Fans donating $5or school supplies valued at $5 will receive a "Galaxy Drive Series Voucher" valid for $5 off a ticket for select games and be entered into a drawing for adidas soccer ball signed by members of the 2008 Galaxy team.

Sunday, October 12: Clothing Drive

The winter months are headed our way and the Galaxy and Infinity Insurance are asking our fans to clean out their closets and donate to charity any old (or new) clothing and shoes that are clean, but are no longer being used. We are in need of quality clothing and shoes for men, women, and children, including maternity clothing. Donations of coats, hats, and gloves are very important during the winter months.

Contributing fans will receive a "Galaxy Drive SeriesVoucher" valid for $5 off a ticket for select games and be entered into a drawing for adidas soccer ball signed by members of the 2008 Galaxy team.

Collection Details

  1. Drive Series Collection Booths will be located outside the Southwest, Southeastand in between the north entrances of The Home Depot Center.
  2. Collection booths open 90 minutes prior to kick-off and close 15 minutes after kick-off.
  3. Donors receive a "Galaxy Drive SeriesVoucher" valid for $5 off a ticket for select games and be entered into a drawing for adidas soccer ball signed by members of the 2008 Galaxy team.
