Rookie defender Jonathan Leathers was named by Peter Nowak to the U.S. U-23 roster for the upcoming Festival International Espoirs de Toulon in Toulon, France.
After a productive four-game homestand where they dropped only one decision, followed by a 1-0 triumph at Chicago, and then consecutive losses on the road, the Kansas City Wizards have a bye week to recoup.
For the first time this season, the Kansas City Wizards faced a real mountain to climb. And while they weren't able to come all the way back, falling 2-1 to the Columbus Crew on Saturday night in the third game of a six-game road swing.
