Training Site of the Wizards
Swope Park Training CenterThe Wizards award-winning Swope Park Training Center is the official practice site of the Wizards. State-of-the-art fields provide Wizards players with a premier practice environment, while a world-class facility houses the coaching staff and offers locker rooms, training equipment and other amenities.
Training Schedule
The Kansas City Wizards have tentatively scheduled their daily training sessions for the 2008 season at 10 a.m. every day, excluding weekends, travel days and game days. Practices generally run between one and two hours. The day before home games, the club will go through light workouts at 10 a.m. Practice times change frequently, so it is advised that members of the media wishing to catch the team during training contact a member of the Wizards Public Relations office.Wizards Public Relations Contacts

Practice Open to the Media
Most practice sessions held by the Wizards are open to the press. All members of the media are encouraged to take advantage of the club’s liberal media practice policy to get one-on-one interviews, sound bites and highlights after every Wizards practice session. If media members plan on attending a practice they are encouraged to contact a member of the Wizards Public Relations Office to help facilitate any needs they may have.Directions to the Wizards offices from Kansas City International Airport
Depart airport and merge onto I-29 S/US-71 S toward Kansas City. Merge onto I-635 S via Exit 3B toward Kansas (crossing into Kansas). Merge onto I-35 South. Follow I-35 South and merge onto 69 Hwy South. Follow 69 Hwy South and merge onto I-435 East. Take the State Line exit and head north on State Line Road. The Wizards offices are located in the 8900 Building at 89th St. and State Line Road.Press Credentials
Any member of the media requesting credentials for the 2008 Regular Season should submit their requests in writing to the Wizards Public Relations Department. Media representatives who have not been issued a full-season press credential should request single-game credentials for home games in advance by contacting Dave Borchardt in the Public Relations Department. All credential requests must be sent to the Wizards on company letterhead stating the media member’s name, complete title and media affiliation through fax (913) 387-3401 or email at dborchardt@kcwizards.com. Credentials can be mailed out in advance, or can be picked up either at the Wizards Office or at the Press Will Call entrance.Press Box Seating
In order to enhance the soccer environment for the press, the Wizards will use the main CommunityAmerica Ballpark Press Box located on the second floor, and modify a suite for working media members. Please contact Dave Borchardt to guarantee a seat in the press box.Telephones/Internet Access
