2009 Crew Broadcast Information

Crew Television

ONNFor the third consecutive season, the Crew will have all 30 of its regular-season games broadcast on television, with 21 being televised regionally on ONN-TV and 12 airing nationally on ESPN2, Fox Soccer Channel, Fox Sports Espanol and TeleFutura.

Dwight Burgess handles play-by-play duties for all regional broadcasts, while Bill McDermott and Dante Washington split lead analyst duties. McDermott boasts extensive broadcasting experience, including at FIFA World Cups, and Washington is a former Crew forward.

Burgess, the original "Voice of the Crew," returns for his 14th season behind the microphone for the Crew and his 19th calling professional soccer play-by-play. A 28-year broadcast veteran, Burgess is currently the men's and women's head coach at Capital University in Columbus.

Crew games are also included in the MLS Direct Kick subscription package, which is available through satellite TV providers DIRECTV and DISH Network, along with digital cable provider iN DEMAND.

CrewXtra on ONN-TV

New this year is a weekly show on ONN-TV, called CrewXtra. It airs every Wednesday during the season at 8 p.m. and 11 p.m. and is supplemented by CrewXtra.com, an interactive companion to the show in collaboration with The Columbus Dispatch and Dispatch.com. The show and site provide Crew fans with in-depth news and analysis, including game recaps and previews, while interspersing other features, interviews and interactive elements.

Crew Radio

610 WTVNClear Channel Columbus' News/Talk 610 WTVN is the Crew's English radio home. All 30 regular season MLS games, as well as any playoff contests, air on News/Talk 610 WTVN. 610 WTVN also air's a 15 minute pregame show before every broadcast.

Neil Sika is in his fourth season as the primary radio play-by-play announcer for the Crew. Sika also provided play-by-play for Ohio State Hockey from 2003-2008 and served in the same capacity for Ohio State baseball from 2004-05. Ohio State Men's Soccer Coach John Bluem will continue to provide color commentary on all home broadcasts.

Spanish Radio
La Que BuenaThis year the Crew is proud to again partner with La Que Buena 1550-AM. This marks the eighth straight year that the Crew has aired its games in Spanish on radio in Columbus. The broadcast team is comprised of Carlos Cordova as play-play announcer and Benny Pietrangelo as lead analyst.
