Crew one away from record after draw
The Columbus Crew extended their home unbeaten streak to within one of the league record. Still, they would have preferred that No. 17 have been a win and not a 1-1 tie with D.C. United on Saturday at Crew Stadium.

Rivals play to draw at Crew Stadium
Alejandro Moreno (R) scored his third goal of the 2009 season in the draw with United.D.C. United took the lead in the 33rd minute on a Christian Gomez score, but Alejandro Moreno got the equalizer for the Columbus Crew in the 59th minute with the aid of a reserve forward Steven Lenhart, and the teams played to a 1-1 tie Saturday at Crew Stadium.

Crew players reflective during holiday
When Crew forward Jason Garey stands at attention for the Star-Spangled Banner prior to Saturday's match against D.C. United, it will be a reflective moment, and not just because it is Independence Day.
