
In 2004, the U.S. men’s Olympic soccer team did not qualify for the Summer Olympics for the first time in seven chances. Former Chicago Fire great and D.C. United head coach Peter Nowak took over as head coach of the Under-23’s in August 2007 determined to right that wrong.
