2003: Made his MetroStars debut on 4/12 vs. Columbus, playing all 90 minutes in a 1-0 loss ... Finished the 2003 season playing in 18 games (16 starts), primarily as a left-sided defender for the "Red and Black" ... Joined the MetroStars on March 31 via a weighted lottery after spending two years with Bayer Leverkusen of the German Bundesliga.
2000: The final season of "DiGi"'s first stint with the Rapids was repeatedly interrupted by injuries, limiting him to 18 total appearances and six starts. DiGi suffered from a groin strain on three occasions (3/18-3/25, 4/22-5/3 and 6/3-6/17), a concussion (5/20), left calf strain (6/28-7/4) and right ankle strain (8/2) ... Upon returning to health in August, DiGi was called up to U.S. Olympic team duty in Australia, missing the final three games of the season, including both playoff games ... 4/8 vs. TB: scored one of the top MLS goals of the season when he slammed a 20-yard, left-footed game winner into the net ... 5/17 @ NE: started and played 90 minutes, receiving a yellow car in the 51st minute for dangerous play before assisting on Henry Zambrano's game-tying and game-winning goals in the 84th and 85th minutes as the Rapids clawed back from a 0-2 deficit to win 3-2.
1999: DiGi avoided a sophomore jinx in his second season by matching his output from the 1998 season with three goals and two assists ... Scored the game-winning goal at Chicago (5/16), an individual piece of brilliance which gave the Rapids a 1-0 win over the Fire ... A big part of the Rapids' six shootout wins, DiGiamarino was second in the league in shootout goals (6) and shootout goal percentage (.667) ... Slated for the left midfield role in the 2000 Olympics, he was selected to train with the full U.S. national team in July.
1998: Burst on the scene in 1998 with a very strong initial season in MLS ... His versatility at the left back and left midfield roles made him an integral part of the Rapids despite his lack of experience ... Made his first-ever MLS appearance when he started the opener on 3/21 in Dallas at left back ... Earned his first career MLS point with an assist on a Chris Henderson goal on 6/6 in San Jose ...
