Colin Clark is a local product who joined the Rapids in 2006. Coming off a career season in 2008, Clark will look again to anchor the Rapids left-side attack.
MLS CAREER
2008: The 2008 season was a breakout year for Clark as he recorded career-highs in games played (29), games started (26), minutes (2325), goals (5) and assists (3)…He was nominated for MLS Goal of the Week for his 80th minute strike against LA in the season opener and his goal at LA on June 7…Clark also scored at Chivas USA on October 19 which led the Rapids to a huge late season victory…2007: Clark had a breakout year for the Rapids this season…He stepped up and cemented his place in the first team starting lineup, as he made 16 starts and appeared in 16 games for the Rapids, logging two goals, two assists, and 1,321 minutes…Made his 2007 debut playing 90 minutes and recording his first assist on June 28 at DC…Recorded his second assist on Aug. 16 vs. New England; Scored his first goal on Aug. 26 vs. Los Angeles…Scored his second goal on Sept. 16 vs. Chivas USA…2006: Made his professional debut playing 13 minutes on April 29 vs. Houston…2006 Playoff Highlights: Played 8 minutes in WCSS Game 2.
NATIONAL TEAM
Participated in training camp with the U.S. Men's National team in November 2008 at Dick's Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City, Colorado.
OTHER PROFESSIONAL HIGHLIGHTS
During the off-season before the 2009 season, spent time training with English Premier League club Aston Villa…Trained for two weeks with Mexican First Division team Pachuca in Jan. 2007…Was a member of the 2005 Boulder Rapids Reserve side.
