SECAUCUS, NJ- The 360-degree roof at Red Bull Arena - the New York Red Bulls' future home in Harrison, NJ set to open on March 27, 2010 - was completed today when the last of the 94 roof panels was installed.

The panels extend from 120 feet from the facade over the entire seating bowl and curving down to the concourse. The final 60 feet of the panels are translucent, allowing natural light to enter into the bowl. Today marks the end of roof installation after the first panel was officially put in place on May 6, exactly six months ago.

The Red Bulls recently held a ceremony on Oct. 27 to mark the installation of the last piece of Kentucky Bluegrass sod in the stadium's new field. Currently, seats in the lower bowl are being installed and this process is expected to be completed by mid-December.

Red Bull Arena is situated on a 12.34 acre lot bounded by 6th Street to the west and Cape May Street to the south and east. The lot is owned by the Town of Harrison. However, the entire stadium construction process is being funded by Red Bull. In all, Red Bull Arena will have 25,000 seats, including 30 suites and 1,000 club seats. More information, including a live webcam, can be found at www.redbullarena.us.
