The Houston Dynamo and Dynamo Charities hosted the first round of the Dynamo Charities Corporate Cup, a small sided (7 vs. 7) tournament that includes both men's and co-ed divisions, on July 18 at Sienna Plantation. Participating companies included: IGLOO, JTR Construction, Granite Surfaces LLC, Hewlett Packard, FMC Technologies-Hired Guns, AEI Energy, Bishop Lifting, Escalante's, Soccer 4 All, United Shell Athletes (co-ed), TSSAS-Leagues United (co-ed), METRO Authority (co-ed) and Audio Video Designs (co-ed). All together, the teams raised more than $4,000 for the Methodist Cancer Center.

In the Men's Division, the hard-fought semifinals featured FMC Technologies-Hired Guns against AEI Energy in one game and Bishop Lifting against HP in the other. Undefeated FMC Technologies-Hired Guns was led by Victor Blanco's four goals, and undefeated Bishop Lifting was led by Cesar Gonzales, who also had four goals in the semi-finals, as both teams advanced to the Men's Division final. Victor Blanco is the current leading goal scorer in the men's division.

In the Co-ed Division Final, undefeated Audio Video Designs will face United Shell Athletes, which is led by Co-ed Division leading scorer Chris Bolan.

Both finals will be held at Robertson Stadium on Saturday, July 25. Each champion will win the Dynamo Charities Corporate Cup, and one month of radio and TV spots on Dynamo All-Access on KHOU 11.2. The Corporate Cup tournament was made possible by support from Classic Printers, Tiffany & Co., Romano's Macaroni Grill, Lucky's Pub, and Eclipse Soccer Club.
