CARSON, Calif. - Chivas USA midfielders Jorge Flores and Gerson Mayen have been called up to the United States Under-20 National Team for the squad's upcoming participation in the Campos Verdes International Tournament in Portugal. Led by head coach Thomas Rongen, the U-20's will face Northern Ireland on April 15, the Cape Verde Islands on April 16 and Portugal on April 18 in the round-robin tournament. Departing on Sunday, April 13, the U.S. Team will train in Beja, Portugal, leading up to its first match.

Flores was most recently with the U-20 National Team in January for the Copa Chivas tournament in Guadalajara, where he played in all five of the team's matches during the tournament, wearing the captain's armband in three. The young midfielder was also with the U-20's last November for an 11-day training camp in Argentina. Mayen, who signed with Chivas USA on March 27, will be with the U.S. U-20's for the first time.

Chivas USA faces the Columbus Crew this Saturday on the road before returning to The Home Depot Center on Sunday, April 20, for a rematch against Duilio Davino and FC Dallas, after the two teams tied 1-1 in Texas on the opening weekend of the 2008 MLS season.
