Q&A with Sueño MLS winner Flores
During his first couple of days back at home and at school, the talented dreamer sat down with www.suenomls.com in a brief Q&A session to share some of his thoughts of the competition overall and what's next on his agenda:
Q: How has everyone treated you since you've been back?
A: Everyone has treated me great. My family went to the airport to greet me and they are throwing me a party. As for my friends, they are all very happy for me and they had a special lunch for me at school.
Q: In your first interview with www.suenomls.com, your famous quote was that you were "going to it your all." Aside from that, what comes next?
A: Well I believe I'm just starting out and I have a lot of work ahead of me to go on but I am confident that I will be able to do it. For now ,just work really hard at practices and hopefully everything will turn out fine.
Q: How is your relationship with your second cousin Abraham, whom you discovered in the round of 60, now that Sueño MLS is all over?
A: We had a good relationship since the day we met. We talk on the phone regularly and I think we will maintain our relationship.
Q: Do you see yourself as a leader or a role model for those younger than you who have the same dream?
A: A leader, not so much. Perhaps a role model because the younger kids see all the hard work that you put into something and they try to imitate it. The one thing to remind them is that if you are dedicated and work hard, anything is possible.
Q: If you had to do it over again, is there anything you would change?
A: No. I don't think so because throughout this whole process everything has worked out for me. I am very happy to have had this opportunity and I will not take it for granted.
Q: Is there anyone you forgot to thank?
A: Of course, all the people who helped to make this happen and a couple of important people, my coaches from my club team Juventus. Ezequiel and Rosio who deserve credit for me being able to do this.
