Reserves: Dynamo 3, Fire 0
Houston exhibited a good level of play during the first half, and scored their first goal at the 9th minute of action. Mike Chabala, with a good individual play from the left side, passed the ball to Chris Wondolowski in the central part of the box, to put the 1-0 up on the board.
The second goal of the night for Houston came at the 34th minute, on the same exact play that created the first goal. From the left side, Chabala crossed the ball over to the middle part of the box, where Wondolowski scored, once more.
But Chabala was not done distributing goals. Once the second half rolled in, Houston continued attacking Chicago's back line, and put the final numbers on the board at the 62nd minute.
Stuart Holden distributed his first assist of the night, giving it to Brian Farber, who dominated the ball, and made a beautiful kick, leaving Matt Pickens with no chance of stopping it.
With a 3-0 victory, Houston (1-2-0) gets its first win of the season in the reserve division, while Chicago (2-1-0) gets its first loss.
Houston's next reserve game will be next Sunday, May 28, at New England, while Chicago will play its next reserve game at home, against the New England Revolution, on June 12.
