CARSON, Calif. -- Chivas USA will be sporting a new look, thanks to the club's newest sponsor. On Wednesday, the team made public its recently-inked deal with Mexican paint manufacturer Comex, whose logo will now emblazon the club's red and white jersey.

Chivas will play the first 45 minutes of this Sunday's Super Clasico against the Los Angeles Galaxy with their old jersey and will return for the second half in the new attire.

With this new alliance, Chivas USA joins the four other MLS teams that have company names adorning their uniforms (Real Salt Lake with XanGo, Los Angeles Galaxy with Herbalife, Toronto FC with BMO and the New York Red Bulls).

Among those present at the official announcement were Antonio Cué, president and co-owner of Chivas USA, Juan José Frangie, general manager of Chivas de Guadalajara, Brian Martin, general manager of Comex Paint USA, and Chivas USA players Claudio Suarez and Ante Razov as well as the Chiva Girls.

Comex is one of North America´s largest architectural paint distributors, with six different brands. Among them is California-based Frazee Paint, which will be Chivas USA's first official sponsor.

Razov and Suarez, escorted by the Chiva Girls, modeled the uniforms for the media. Razov wore the white visitors jersey, while Suarez was dressed in the red, white and blue home.

"I think it looks really nice. We are going to have a little snazzy look to us," Razov said.

Asked if he had done any runway modeling before, Razov said "No."

"It was a little bit nerve-wracking. I'll keep my day job," he said.

Cué was very impressed with the new uniform, calling it "perfect, clean and worthy of a great company. I'm very proud to see a Mexican name on this jersey.

"It's complete. The only thing that's missing is the star," he added, in reference to Chivas de Guadalajara's custom of adding stars over the team logo to commemorate league championships.
