MLS Direct Kick returns for 2007 season

More than 100 games for the price of $79

NEW YORK - Major League Soccer today announced the return of MLS Direct Kick, providing fans the opportunity to watch more than 100 MLS games through the MLS Direct Kick television package. Direct Kick returns for the League's 12th season and is available to fans on any of three separate outlets. Starting April 7, satellite TV providers DIRECTV and DISH Network, along with digital cable provider iN DEMAND Networks, will once again each present MLS regional telecasts. The residential price is just $79 on any of the three platforms. Commercial establishments can purchase the package for a flat rate of $100. The package will be available for purchase through each outlet between now and the end of the season.

MLS Direct Kick will include regional broadcasts of MLS regular-season and select MLS Cup Playoff games, including pre-game and post-game shows (when available). All 195 games of the 2007 regular season, the 2007 Sierra Mist MLS All-Star Game, playoffs and MLS Cup 2007 will be available between the following outlets: MLS Direct Kick package and national broadcast partners ABC, ESPN2, Fox Soccer Channel, Fox Sports en Español, HDNet and Univisión networks Telefutura and Galavisión. The league's full schedule, including television broadcasts, is available at MLSnet.com.

All 13 MLS teams, including new expansion team Toronto FC, and star players such as Landon Donovan, Freddy Adu, and Christian Gómez, will be showcased on the Direct Kick package.

Major League Soccer has collaborated with all three providers to offer two separate FREE PREVIEW periods for the MLS Direct Kick package, one on opening day, April 7, and the other on July 1 through July 4. All MLS Direct Kick package telecasts are subject to change.
