NEW YORK -- Dwayne De Rosario was voted Week Six MLS Player of the Week for his efforts in his team's 4-3 victory over intrastate rival FC Dallas on Saturday, May 6.

De Rosario led Dynamo to a thrilling victory with two goals including the game winner, tying him with teammate Brian Ching for the league lead in game winning goals (2).

De Rosario notched his first goal of the match in the 45th minute as he took a long pass from Ching, carried it into the penalty area and blasted a left-footed shot from 12 yards past FC Dallas goalkeeper Dario Sala. His second, the game clinching goal, came in the 67th minute when he received a pass from Brad Davis dribbled by Sala and curled the ball home just inside the far post. De Rosario has tallied three goals and four assists on the season.

Through six weeks of action the MLS Players of the Week have come from three teams as D.C. United, Houston Dynamo and the Los Angeles Galaxy have each had two members of their team win the award.

The Major League Soccer Player of the Week is selected every week throughout the MLS regular season by a panel of journalists from the Professional Soccer Reporters Association (PSRA).
