Marvell-ous: MetroStars select Wynne at No. 1

The MetroStars got the ball rolling on the 2006 MLS SuperDraft at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia by taking UCLA and Generation adidas defender Marvell Wynne with the No. 1 pick, which they acquired from Chivas USA in exchange for the No. 5 overall pick (Sacha Kljestan) and defender Jason Hernandez.
